Planning your backyard project

Flagstone stepping path through flowering shrubs beside lawn in Omaha, NE

Ask us a question

What does the first visit involve?

About an hour walking your yard. We measure, check grade and access, and give you an honest budget range.

How far ahead should I plan?

Design in fall or winter for a spring build. Calling in April usually means a late-season finish.

Do you charge for design?

The walkthrough is free. Full design carries a fee that is credited toward the build.

Can I build in phases?

Yes, and we plan for it. Sleeves, base and drainage for later phases go in during the first dig.

What towns do you serve?

The Omaha metro. The full list of eleven communities is in the footer of every page.

Ask us a question

What does a pool cost here?

A finished backyard generally runs seventy thousand to a hundred sixty. Our cost guides break every line item down.

Which shell type is best?

Vinyl for value, fiberglass for speed and low upkeep, gunite when the shape is non-negotiable.

How long does a build take?

Six to ten weeks for vinyl and fiberglass, ten to sixteen for gunite, plus design and permitting ahead of it.

Do you handle permits and fencing?

Permits, locates and inspections are in our scope. Required barriers are priced into the plan from the start.

Is a pool a good investment?

It reliably adds enjoyment and selectively adds value. Build it to use it.

Ask us a question

What does a pool cost to own each year?

Three to seven thousand dollars including chemicals, power, opening, closing and an equipment reserve.

Do you service pools you did not build?

Yes, and most of our service customers came to us that way.

When should I open and close?

Open mid-April to early May, close late September through October. Both book out, so schedule early.

How long does a vinyl liner last?

Ten to fifteen years with balanced water and a winter cover. Considerably less without.

My pool is losing water. What now?

Run a bucket test for a day, then call us. We locate the leak before quoting any repair.

Ask us a question

What does a paver patio cost?

Twenty-eight to fifty-five dollars a square foot installed, with base and drainage done properly.

Pavers or concrete?

Pavers cost more, flex with frost and repair individually. Concrete costs less and cracks eventually.

Do I need a permit for a pergola?

Roofed structures almost always need one. We pull it and handle the inspection.

Why do retaining walls fail?

Missing drainage, shallow base or no reinforcement. All three are avoidable and none are visible afterward.

Do you maintain what you plant?

We do. Seasonal maintenance keeps beds, planting and lighting the way we left them.
