When to open your pool

Open before it turns

Warm water under a cover grows algae fast. An early April opening is far less work than a May rescue.

Damage found early costs little

A cracked pump housing found at opening gets a part ordered. Found in June, it costs you a weekend.

Clear takes a few days

Even a good opening needs the filter to run and the chemistry to settle. Book about two weeks before you want to swim.

Ask us a pool opening question

When should I open in Omaha?

Mid-April to early May for most pools. Waiting until the water warms means opening a green pool instead of a clear one.

How long until we can swim?

Usually three to five days after opening while the filter runs and chemistry settles.

Do you top off the water?

We set the level from your spigot as part of the visit. Well-limited properties can arrange delivery.

What if the pool is already green?

Then it is a green-to-clean job, not an opening. We price that separately and it takes longer.

Can you open a pool you did not close?

Yes. We may find shortcuts from last fall, and we will tell you what they were.
