What makes a pool liner fail

Water chemistry

Low pH and high chlorine eat plasticizer out of vinyl. A liner in unbalanced water can lose years off its life in a single season.

Sun and an empty pool

Direct UV on an uncovered waterline and any time spent drained both shrink and harden vinyl. Never leave a vinyl pool empty.

What is behind it

Washed-out floors, rusted walls and failed gaskets show up as wrinkles and leaks. We fix the cause while the liner is out.

Ask us a question

How long should a liner last in Omaha?

Ten to fifteen years with balanced water and a winter cover. Eight years or less usually points to a chemistry or drainage problem.

Can I just patch it?

If the vinyl is still flexible and the tear is small, a patch holds for years. Brittle, faded vinyl will simply tear again beside the patch.

Will a new liner fix my leak?

If the leak is through the liner, yes. Leaks at fittings, skimmers or plumbing need to be found and fixed first.

Do you replace liners you did not install?

Constantly. We measure every pool ourselves regardless of who built it.

What time of year is best?

Spring at opening or fall before closing. Both let us work with the pool already down.
