Holiday Lighting in Omaha, NE

How a season works

Wide farmhouse style home with warm white roofline bulbs, lit wreaths in the windows and a wrapped tree standing on the front lawn

Quoted off a measurement

We measure the roofline, the trees and the entrance in daylight, in late summer or early autumn. The number you get is for your house, not a price per foot guessed off a photo.

Strands cut to your roof

Every run is cut and assembled to the length it has to cover, so there is no slack bunched at a corner and no gap short of the last gable.

Clips, never staples

Bulbs attach with gutter and shingle clips sized to the edge they sit on. Nothing is stapled, nailed or screwed into fascia, trim or shingles.

Lit on a timer

Everything runs off a photocell or a timer set to your hours, so the display comes on at dusk without anybody remembering to switch it on.

Serviced while it is up

A bulb out in December is our problem, not yours. Call and we come back out. Wind and ice take a run down most seasons, and that is part of the job.

Down in January, stored dry

We pull everything in January, label it by elevation and store it dry until next year, so the second season is faster and cheaper than the first.

Holiday lighting questions

When should I book?

Late summer through early October. We install from late October through the first week of December, and the calendar fills from the top. Booking in November usually means a December install date rather than a Thanksgiving one.

Do I own the lights or rent them?

Ask us for both numbers. Buying costs more the first year and less every year after, since you are only paying install, service and takedown. Leasing keeps the first year down and includes replacement when a strand fails.

Will it damage my roof or gutters?

No. Everything hangs on clips made for the edge it sits on. We do not staple, nail or screw into fascia, trim or shingles, and we do not walk a roof we should not be walking.

What happens if a section goes out?

Call us and we come back out at no charge while the display is up. Outages are usually a connection that worked loose in wind, not a failed strand.

Do you do more than the roofline?

Yes. Trees, columns, railings, garland on the entrance and lit wreaths all get quoted the same way. The roofline is simply where most people start.

Do you take it down?

Yes, in January, and it is in the price. Leaving a display up into February is what shortens the life of the strands and the clips.
